@Sanguine ...Cruz introduced a bill...  That means it has to go through the House AFAIK

I see.  I misunderstood what you meant.  I thought you were talking because of appropriations.

@libertybele

It has NOTING to do with Trump and EVERYTHING to do with them wanting open borders so they can import peons in to vote for them and all the "Free stuff" they promise. If it were Jesus running on a "seal the borders" ticket,they would be opposed to Jesus.

Yes, I fully realize that and have realized that for quite some time.  However, they DO hate Trump as he IS standing in their way, or at least it seems so.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

  • I don't believe in Trump anymore, he's an illusion
I'm sure the bill will be groundbreaking and not just a political prop.
Ah, your just unhappy because he doesn't believe in your global warming fairy tale or socialistic government handouts.

Why then, did Trump and the GOP(e) drag their feet and not get the wall built when they held the full majority?

The GOP(e) has never actually been on Trump's side. All they care about is optics that will help them get reelected. That probably has something to do with it.

I was being a bit sarcastic, which is why I specifically stated the (e) after 'GOP'.  However, that doesn't excuse the President from not making a push for the number one issue and the most important issue that our country is faced with.

IMHO, there is zero chance now for the wall to be built.  Notta.  Meanwhile Trump just signed on to amnesty - again.

Unlike a lot of people here I don't see Trump as some kind of super genius. I don't think he's an idiot, but he's also definitely not the smartest guy in Washington D.C. I don't know why Trump wasn't more vocal at that point, but I wonder if he wasn't manipulated into keeping his mouth shut about it for a while. He was new and he's not a politician. It had to have been overwhelming and he would have had no choice but to trust people. I think the forces pushing globalism have an incredible amount of power over our government. In my mind the wall and tough immigration policies were always a pipe dream with Trump. To me his value was in drawing more attention to the issue.
