Watched Planes, Trains and Automobiles again this week for the umpteenth time.  There are so many funny scenes in this movie, if you have not watched it, I highly  recommend it.

John Candy and Steve Martin at their best!  One laugh after another, nonstop.

The end gets me every time.  I can relate a lot to the role Steve Martin played, for my life was on the road five days a week for many years, home on weekends only.  Dashed from a client site to an airport to catch many flights in the nick of time, fighting all kinds of harsh weather, traffic conditions, etc.

You alone deserve the glory
The honor and the praise

The ending is made all the better by an excellent song.
My husband traveled a ton when our kids were younger. The day after he would return home, we’d all be on our best behavior. His decompression from the road could be painful for the family. Of course, we can all laugh about it now.

Thinking back on not only my favorite movies, but also the most memorable scenes and even the dialogue.

When Clarence (Christian Slater) goes to the strip joint to confront Drexel (Gary Oldman) and Marty...to get "Alabama's" things...

...the driving beat of the music sound system, the insane, crazy character of the pimp, Drexel.

That whole movie was badass.

Shawshank Redemption clip: " The way I see it we've got two choices; get busy living or get busy dying."
"I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo.

"So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

To act in this world is to put yourself in moral peril, to shake the foundations of your own philosophy, sometimes overwhelmingly so. In such times, when you're no longer sure which way is right, where do you go? Who do you become?
