OBAMA DECLARED 13 National Emergencies…Only ONE Focused On Protecting Americans
Feb 15, 2019

Earlier today, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted a photo of President Trump signing an Declaration for a National Emergency. Sanders explained that the declaration was necessary because of the “national security and humanitarian crisis” on our southern border. The national emergency declaration is being widely criticized by leaders in the Democrat Party, as well as their allies in the media. Even some in the Republican Party are opposed to President Trump taking this drastic measure as a last resort to fund a wall on our southern border.

According to ABC News – The president explained his highly controversial move in a Rose Garden announcement, saying “We’re going to confront the national security crisis on our southern border and we’re going to do it one way or the other.”

Why did bammy declare a national emergency to protect Americans? Must have been a mistake.

The article doesn't say @austingirl but Bammy didn't do much to protect Americans so I doubt it.

This whole thing should put Trump's declaration into perspective.  This national emergency thing has been used so many times before and suddenly it becomes an outrageous thing to do when Trump uses it once to actually protect our country.

I can understand that kind of rhetoric from Nancy, Chuckie, etal, but it really hurts to see it on this forum

Of Obama’s 11 continuing national emergencies, nine of them were focused exclusively on foreign nations, while only one seemed focused on protecting America — a declaration aimed at punishing individuals “engaging in significant malicious cyber-enabled activities.”

What really hurts is the crushing weight of ignorance you consistently bring to discussions.

Ridiculous that the Democrats think they can challenge this in court.  Still, Trump neutered his own emergency.  He has given authority to local governments to say no to the "bollard barrier", "fence", "wall".

You could always work just a little on basic stuff, like using those gelatinous orbs in your head for something other than blank stares. Try actually reading the source article. That way, you won’t embarrass yourself. I realize that’s a big ask. Once you’re done with the basics, you can move on to advanced stuff and develop intellectual curiosity. That will allow you to ask yourself questions like ‘why are some of Obama’s declarations still active?’

That might lead you to whitehouse.gov, where you can look up ‘national emergency’ in their search feature. From there, you may discover it’s because the current occupant of the White House deemed them to be of enough importance to reaffirm and extend them with his own signature. Then, you and the dumb cows at 100% Corn Fed can be just a tad bit more informed about things, like why this president recently decided on sending aid to Venezuela.
