Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez insisted Sunday that his party does not have a problem of division because Democratic socialism and "moral capitalism" are compatible.

Perez appeared on "Meet the Press" and argued Democrats have the best record on job creation and the economy because they make sure "everybody succeeds" through the shared prosperity of "moral capitalism." Host Chuck Todd inquired about the Democratic socialist movement, which boasts many of the most high-profile leaders on the left, such as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.).

"Can you be a Democratic socialist and for moral capitalism?" Todd asked.

Sure. And, of course, you can be a very tall short person. Or a very skinny fat guy. Or even a deeply conservative liberal.  Up is down in the Alice and Wonderland world of the loony Left...so this is hardly surprising. Its purpose...the purpose of such a ludicrous statement...is to confuse the ignorant denizens (millenials) and make them think Socialism is just a kinder kind of Capitalism...so why not make it part of our government?

Just another idiotic statement that will, unfortunately, be greeted with 'oh, wow, that is deep!' by too many democrats.

We cannot let them regain power and a good way to stop that is for people to move their focus away from Trump hate and concentrate on socialism hate.

There is no such thing as a Third Way, a middle of the road compromise.

Statements like this pave the way for 'somebody' to pose as a true 'Centrist'.

The 24/7/365 hate by the mainstream media toward Conservatives (MAGA) and the POTUS himself will have done the rest of the job hoodwinking the electorate.

I honestly think this is their strategy.    Heavy doses of ridiculous AOE et al, followed by promises of triangular reach-out by somebody appearing 'normal'.

PS:  Thank God Hillary's thesis title is: "There's only the fight".   Won't make it easy for her.

'Capitalism in China' is the carrot, we know the stick. It is only a means to an end, to get the best to develop the means to manufacture, the technology to build, and the workforce to create whatever the Central Committee wants, from an army to a navy to lunar rovers and enough gee-gaws to placate the populace and sell to the world for the capital to move forward on other fronts.
