President Trump will deliver a speech Monday in Miami on the "dangers of socialism," according to the White House.
Part of an effort to put more pressure on Venezuela's socialist leader Nicolas Maduro to cede power, Trump will renew his commitment to opposition leader Juan Guaido, which the U.S. has recognized as the South American country's "interim president."
The event will take place at Florida International University, which is near a large Venezuelan exile community.
The news comes after Colombian President Ivan Duque Marquez visited Trump at the White House on Wednesday to discuss Venezuela. Trump reasserted to reporters that "all options" are being looked at to push Maduro out of power.
Maduro is facing international pressure to step aside as his country deals with rampant poverty and shortages of basic goods. Many Venezuelans are fleeing the country to nearby Colombia. Maduro has blocked entry of shipments of aide, including food, sent by the U.S. and other countries.
Trump targeted socialism during his State of the Union address last week and at his rally in El Paso, Texas, on Monday.
