For some time now we have been on the alert for the growing influence of those who consider the “religion of peace” their personal choice.

We have reason to be on guard, because those who practice said religion, specifically the extremists, adhere to the principles of the core Shari’a beliefs, which is diametrically opposed to the standards and laws of the USA.

We came across this report recently about a community patrol being formed in Brooklyn, New York, organized with the specific intent to help protect the Muslim population in that city. New York City has nearly 800,000 of them at last count.

I've read a few articles on this. That vehicle they have looks city made. It is also said that perhaps other ethnic communities have their own patrols.

Recently, the New York Post reported an unusual sighting.

People are seeing what looks like an NYPD police car because this Ford Taurus is painted nearly identical to those used by the NYPD, right down to the insignia.

Islamic religious police
It is only a matter of time until they start beating people in the street, both Muslims and non-Muslims, for not being Islamic enough. This is how the so called 'no-go' zones in Europe got started. European Islamic no-go zones are areas of a country which have essentially claim autonomy, and the Muslims living in them do not recognize the authority of the national government of the country in which they reside.

It is one thing that ethinc communites police there neighborhood, but any religous police should be a big no. Imagine if there was a LDS Community Patrol?

I think there is an LDS police, sort of. From what I hear from anecdotal stories, the LDS enforces their religious laws in a fairly harsh way within their own community. They are not going to beat people like the Muslims will, but they have other ways of applying pressure to make sure their congregants stay on the straight and narrow. Since I have never been involved with LDS, I don't know this first hand.

I was LDS for a number of years and am still married to an active LDS member...I've never heard or seen anything of which you relate.

Maybe within the polygamist sect that is not recognized by SLC or unofficially by members taking things into their own hands, but I don't know of anything that is sanctioned by the church.

Not meant to sound like or come across as a rebuke, just trying to clarify things a bit based on my experiences.
