I read a story a day or so ago about a 19 year old USCG member that died under mysterious circumstances in Alaska that stated he was going to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Now,the story is VERY vague about the circumstances surrounding his death, but his ship was in port and he was killed while ashore. There was NO mention of any official action or mission, and there was NO mention of official cause of death. All this was pretty vague, with a lot "still being investigated".

The last time I was at Arlington for a funeral was a couple of years ago,and AFAIK,to be buried at Arlington today you need to have been awarded a minimum of a Silver Star for bravery in combat if you are enlisted swine, like a E-3. West Point grads are of course exempt from this qualification. As are wives of the men buried there.

SO........,will someone PLEASE splain to be WTF is going on here?
