So refusing service to someone because of a hat is ok...but refusing to bake a cake for someone is bad?

I'm fine with this. If he doesn't want my business and announces so, I can chose to patronize his establishment or not.
We don't do formal dinners at my house, but I am old-fashioned enough to insist that my boys take their hats off before they come to the table. It's just good manners.
If I could count the times I got a wooden spoon upside the head...That one's been drilled into me alright.
Doesn't affect me. I was taught to not wear any hat when dining. I still won't, even at home. It just feels wrong.
