"What did the presiding judge have to say about Mueller’s involvement with the FBI misconduct? I can say without equivocation that Mr. Mueller, who worked in the United States attorney’s office in Boston from 1982 to 1988, including a brief stint as the acting head of the office, had no involvement in that case. He was never even mentioned."

I researched this when I first heard about it last year or the year before that. Mueller was not around when this case came about. Plus, a number of years later, when he was working in the US attorney's office, he was not the head of it. Another man was. Mueller worked for him. It would have been this head man who tried to keep the men in prison, not Mueller. Mueller was not attached to this case. At some point, someone thought that up that the men were kept in prison even though they were innocent, and spread it around that it was Mueller. If you get the year this case came about and compare Mueller's life to that time, he could not have been there. In later years, Mueller was the head of that office for a brief time.
