All of this underlies why the Constitutional Republic is superior to what the libs want - a 100% federal-controlled government.

A government in which states are the primary decision-making spenders, taxing authorities and social-law-making authorities allow citizens from those states to freely pick up and move to more accommodating states.

It is killing the Californias and New Yorks of this country as their own laws and spending habits have to be dealt with themselves.

If all we have is federal controls in spending and taxing, then we are screwed as there is no place to move to unless out of the country.

Keep states rights strong.

That's true, but there are consequences.

Our system relies on the premise of majority rule, meaning that a geopolitically diverse state, once one faction or coalition gets to that 50%+1, they can begin imposing policies on the 50%-1 to make their lives a living Hell until they're forced out of the state, further solidifying the majority coalition's grip on power. You see that in upstate New York and inland California, as those areas are effectively disenfranchised solely because of the way their state lines are drawn.

Just as we need states' rights as a check on the federal government, we also need local rights to keep the state governments in check.

Amen,amen,AMEN!

We can call them "Anti-Yankee Laws" so they are clearly identified as the enemies of individual freedoms, and the friends of higher taxes.
