Republican and Democratic leaders haven’t even started their post-government shutdown border-wall negotiations yet, but the prospect for any deal might be dead already.

When President Donald Trump ended the longest shutdown in history last week, he said he needed a  compromise from Democrats, even suggesting protecting so-call “Dreamers” in exchange for border-wall funding.

But Democrats are already ruling out the idea.

“The fading prospects of the negotiation mean Trump is likely to receive only a fraction of the $5.7 billion he’s been seeking for his southern barrier in any deal, if one can be put together at all by Feb. 15,” Politico reports. “Then he would have to decide whether to unilaterally move funds around by declaring a legally dubious national emergency or embrace another debilitating

Not gonna help Trump's cause when you hear soundbites of McConnell saying he's ready to negotiate any deal that avoids another shutdown or a declaration of a national emergency.

This is no surprise.  Trump said last week he didn't think there was even a 50-50 chance of a solution.

The problem withSh*t For Brains people like Benedict McConnell is first, they really don't care about the citizens.  Number 2, they have lost sight of how terrible this country would be with Madam Clinton as POTUS.  Three, they have become lazy and are loathe to fight for freedom.

Honestly...like Pelosi...McConnell is all about power...attaining it and keeping it.  He doesn't care if he's the minority or the majority leader as long as he gets to ride heard over the GOP in the Senate.

They can't compromise because they are losing the black vote to black politicians who will eventually start their own "anti-cracka party",and if they don't get more brown voters in they will lose their positions and all the money and privileges that go with it.

They've seen how well absolute intransigence has worked for the other lot of open-borders, regulate the economy until all small businesses die, elitists fighting populist insurgencies -- the European Commission -- and figure they can do the same.  McConnell is just stepping up to play the Theresa May role.
