Howard Schultz: Ex-Starbucks CEO considers presidential run

The former CEO of coffee chain Starbucks has said he is "seriously considering" running for president.

Howard Schultz, who stepped down as the firm's boss last year, says he is considering running as a centrist independent candidate in 2020.

In a series of tweets, he said the current two political parties in the US were "more divided than ever".

This was in the news yesterday, I'm not sure anyone posted it.  No big deal to me, it did get coverage though.

This is what the dems risk by lurching so far to the left. Their candidate is going to be so extreme that an even slightly less extreme alternative could do serious damage in swing states. And once you have one independent in the race, there's less pressure for others to stay out. If any of Sanders, Biden and Bloomberg are eliminated in dem primaries, their careers as dems are over and they would have nothing to lose by running as independents. I could even see Bill's odious remora "reinventing" herself one last time as an "independent". Get two of those together on a ticket and it could be even more fun.

What mocha do you see? Mother from India would make it Kaapi Americano, which is good because it's easy to twist to Krapi Americano.

little fact, Kaapi, is the South Indian phonetic rendering of "coffee".
