Savannah Guthrie, of NBC, interviewed Nick Sandmann, the Covington student who was confronted by Nathan Phillips.  Her questions clearly show the bias against the students.

Guthrie asked Sandmann: "Do you think if you weren't wearing that hat this might not have happened?"  "Do you feel from this experience that you owe anybody an apology? Do you see your own fault in any way?"

The thrust of Guthrie's questions to Sandmann were basically how dare he stand there and not beg for forgiveness for existing.

I don't know if you saw the nutjob black reverend on Ingraham's show last night who compared black thug teens barred from  wearing  hoodies in certain places to white teens who wear MAGA hats.
The reverend seems to have a huge problem understanding specifics. He thought it was racist that black male teens could not wear hoodies wherever they were while white teens were allowed to wear MAGA hats.
Black male teens, many of whom wear hoodies,  commit staggering amounts of crime/disruption wherever they are. White male teens wearing MAGA hats commit virtually no crime.
I'm totally fed up with black "authority" figures who try to lecture the country on racism. They should try to fix the problems with their own people before they babble about racism.
I thought Dan Bongino, who was on the segment with the black reverend, was going to boil over in anger at the idiot preacher.

The hat most definitely is a trigger, but one easily dismissed by you. That much is clear. The fact that Covington was engaged in a misogynistic parade is almost secondary to the greater point that currently, we can't even have protest and counter protest without each side crying that their rights have been infringed upon. More to the point, why does my disgust at a flaming red display of ignorance have to incense you so much? You would think, if you were such a truth seeker that you want to be perceived as, displays of ignorance and blatant disregards for truth would bother you too... but it is clear enough to me that it doesn't
