Mueller wants to know more about Trump campaign's ties to NRA

Doesn't Mueller have to justify any expansion of his investigation into "Russian Collusion" to the DOJ? He just can't do any damn thing he wants.

There's no expansion of the investigation. Alexander Torshin is a Russian banker, linked to Putin, organized crime in Europe, and Butina, in the DC case. There was a meeting between Don Jr and Torshin at a 2016 NRA convention. It's either substantive or it's not, but it's not unrelated to campaign contacts with Russian individuals.
