The answer is easily no. At that, I learned a while back that the more you try to be private on the internet, often that leads to less privacy. Some 'private' browsers, search engines, and plug ins, end up getting more eyes on them from those that watch these things as those who do, believe that those who try to do this are more likely to be doing something they are trying to hide.
If you are online, you are not private, period. You can create all the sock puppets and use all the private browsers and VPNs but at the end of the day, they are all breadcrumbs that lead to you.
The best thing you can do if you don't want to or can't disconnect, is to manipulate your image.
