Maxine Waters Wants $13.27 Billion to End Homelessness (But No Money for a Wall)

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), the new chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, said she will make housing a priority during her tenure, and she wants a "surge" of funding to address the "crisis."

Waters said she will re-introduce a bill that provides "$13.27 billion in new funding over 12 years" for federal programs and initiatives to prevent homelessness.".............

...................Waters also called for housing finance reform, and she announced the creation of a new subcommittee focusing on "diversity and inclusion" in the financial services and banking industry.

Waters repeatedly has called for the impeachment of President Trump. She absolutely rejects his call for a border wall to control the hordes of foreigners who try to enter the country illegally. Many of those people are desperately poor and in need of the housing that Waters hopes to provide with her $13.27 billion.

That $13.27 billion is $7.57 billion more than the $5.7 billion Trump is requesting for his border wall.

I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.
