7 in 10 say US health care system has 'major problems' or is in a 'state of crisis'
The reason my health care is in a state of crisis is because government got involved. Before government got involved, I had a doctor, affordable insurance with a low deductible and generous copay policy. Everyone was happy. But then one day, government got involved. This resulted in me losing both my doctor and my insurance. The insurance I have now costs twice as much, has deductibles so high that I am always paying out of pocket, and offers me new doctors I don't know and whom are not taking new patients.
And then there are pharmaceuticals. Before the government got involved, pharmaceuticals were affordable. There were always generic options to use, and the insurance companies had copays as low as $0. But then the government decided to get involved with mass purchases of drugs so that we could buy at wholesale prices. But instead, it drove up demand which then drove up prices making them increasingly expensive, even generics. And insurance companies retracted their copay policies, leaving pharmacy purchases going towards my deductible.
So the reason we have a crisis to begin with is 100% because of government. Yet to fix it all, you propose more government? Only a complete idiot would see it your way.
