Hispanic Americans - and working Americans in general - are hurt by illegal participation in the labor pool. That's the true purpose of a physical barrier to keep out illegals - to maintain the prosperity of working Americans. Not the prosperity of the rich - businesses that can get away with cheap, illegal labor are happy to do so. But the Americans such labor displaces either can't find work or suffer stagnant wages for the jobs they do have.
The Dems in their rush to embrace identity politics forget that one's "identity" is, for most of us, linked to our work and our pride in supporting ourselves and our families. The unemployment numbers for Hispanic Americans and black Americans are currently at record lows. That's no accident. That's a function of government policies.
