While Democrats Were Home Celebrating President Trump Ended Catch and Release

Catch and release, used by George W Bush and Barack Obama was a total disaster. It takes longer to decide an asylum case than you are allowed to detain the illegals applying for asylum.
But, it was a total disaster, when the Bush and Obama administrations would release the illegals while they awaited their hearing because they would simply hide and not go to court and remain in the country.
Trump wanted to end that policy, so he wheeled and dealed with Mexico and got them to agree to let caravan members wait in Mexico until their court date. If they win their case, they are welcomed into the country and if not, they are deported to their home country. Everyone gets to apply for asylum, but those who don’t qualify aren’t allowed in where they can then hide from authorities.
