Trump to cancel Christmas trip to Florida if there's a shutdown

President Trump will cancel a planned holiday vacation in Florida if there's a partial government shutdown, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said Thursday.
"He will not travel in a shutdown," Sanders said as she walked past reporters in the White House driveway.
Trump had been scheduled to depart the White House on Friday afternoon to spend Christmas with his family at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
The prospect of a partial government shutdown impacting roughly 800,000 federal workers grew earlier Thursday when Trump said he would not sign a temporary government funding bill without money for a border wall.
The House of Representatives passed a spending measure with border funds Thursday night after many senators left Washington on Wednesday after passing a funding bill without wall funds.
It's unclear if there's enough support in the Senate to clear a 60-vote cloture threshold for a bill with border wall funds. Senate Democrats previously said they would not vote for wall funding.
Many of Trump's supporters expressed concern that without wall funding this week, Trump may never fulfill a 2016 campaign pledge to erect a physical barrier along the border of Mexico, as Democrats will retake the House of Representatives next month.
