NOT impressed with General Clark as a Special Operations commander. He has spent his entire career wearing red and marching in a straight line as an officer in conventional parachute units, and has a whole chestful of ribbons with only one that means anything, his CIB. Given that he is a West Point officer,in his case it means he happened to be within 100 miles of where a rifle shot was heard. You can tell by his lack of valor and Purple Heart awards that he was never actually in combat.
I feel sorry for the Special Operations people that are going to have to try to do their very difficult jobs under the watchful eye of this careerist.
