Trump: China agrees to reduce tariffs on US autos

President Trump announced on Sunday that China had agreed to "reduce and remove" tariffs on U.S.-produced vehicles imported into the country.

"China has agreed to reduce and remove tariffs on cars coming into China from the U.S," the president tweeted. "Currently the tariff is 40%."

This certainly means more American manufacturing jobs.

Do any of those who have been fighting against tariffs on Chinese goods think it was still wrong what was done so far?   I note it was more of the threats of tariffs than the tariffs themselves.

The people in China should be now thrilled they can buy cheaper cars.  a 40% tariff is steep.

And China had a lot more to do.  It had tariffs on virtually 100% of all US goods imported into country.

Before the trade war, the  Cineese govt tariff was 15% for all automobiles manufactured outside of China.  Due tp our trade war with China, the tariff for  USA produced autos was  increased to 40%, and all other auto imports remained at 15%.  Before. we pass  judgment on this news, we should wait and see  what, if any, decreases there are in China's import tarrifs on US produced autos.

Yes. China's very good at agreeing to one thing and doing the opposite.

Yeah, that’s right. When the news is good on Trump’s actions, we need to wait and see what results actually turn up.

But, when the news is bad for Trump – documented to be over 90% of the time in the mainstream media – then it’s a free for all to see who can post the most negative fake articles supporting the original fake, lying article. Cue @edpc
