Cecilia Sanchez, Patrick J. McDonnell

Newly inaugurated Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador received a traditional cleansing during an indigenous ceremony Saturday in Mexico City’s central plaza, or zocalo.

Are the Aztec making a comeback?????

Yes. They think so.

What is known as the “Mexica Movement” is central to the Reconquista movement. From the Mexica Movement’s website,  we see the identification the movement makes with ancient Aztec roots.
