While stumping in Mississippi for U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith, President Donald Trump repeatedly linked support for her to support for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“Brett Kavanaugh, he was beaten up so badly and so unfairly by the Democrats, but we got through it,” Trump told a crowd in Tupelo Monday night. “There were a lot of lies, a lot of lies. A number of people have already recanted their stories, never happened, you know that right?”
