 Why we don’t have immigration reform and why your vote matters

Separating families is traumatizing, especially to children.

In the midst of our political division, we agree on this point. Stark images of crying babies and grieving parents moved the country to demand an end to family separation along the border.

However, family separation continues right here in Kenosha and Racine.

The Racine Interfaith Coalition has identified more than 20 detentions since ICE arrived in our community this summer, and the impact extends well beyond these families. Twenty arrests have the effect of terrorizing thousands who risk being deported away from their kids.
