The leading Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee says that the House will investigate the intelligence community's assessment of the death of Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post journalist who died after entering a Saudi consulate in Turkey.

In an interview with The Washington Post Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), who will chair the committee come January, said that probing the CIA's assessment of whether the killing was ordered by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman would be a top priority for Democrats.

“Certainly we will be delving further into the murder of Khashoggi, and I want to make sure that the committee is fully debriefed on it,” Schiff told the Post's Greg Sargent.

“We will certainly want to examine what the intelligence community knows about the murder," he added.

Of course we can, because we're innovators.  There's a reason why most American homes rely on a central unit for heating and cooling in their homes.  We evolved beyond multiple fireplaces and fans. 

What we do have are a couple centuries worth of ample reserves to create energy independence by using what we have to create the next leap.  Gasoline was considered a waste byproduct of oil processing, before someone figured out what to do with it.  Coal powered all the machinery used to produce the tools to collect and refine oil, in the beginning.  Our resources were used to unleash the power of the atom.  Now, use domestic oil, coal, and gas to create the next step.
