Roberts said on the day before Thanksgiving that an "independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for."
That's very magnanimous of him, but the reality is that "the judiciary" has never been "independent", not since the earliest days of the Republic, and it's growing more politicized over time with the numbers of ideological leftists that are now embedded in it.
Mr. Trump said no more than 80% (or more) of the folks in this forum have said regarding the political stances of judges, such as those of the 9th Circuit, for example.
Justice Roberts may mean well with his comments, but they are woefully ignorant of "what actually is"...
