US Navy flexes with 2 carriers near China as report warns that Beijing's missiles could sink them
Alex Lockie

The US Navy has been checking China's growing military dominance in the Pacific with aircraft carriers, but a new US government report says they could be sitting ducks for Chinese missiles.

The report highlights "China's anti-access/area-denial capabilities," or Beijing's ability to use long-range missiles to keep US systems, like aircraft carriers, out of the combat zone.

China has purpose-built missiles to destroy US aircraft carriers, and lots of them. The US government called for swift action to address the issue — or the US could lose its next war.

Carriers are nothing but big floating expensive targets that are easily taken out by any nation with nukes or even an abundance of regular missiles.

Yeah,we all know they are the the cornerstone of the Navy, but that doesn't mean they are actually useful for anything but the US Navy's budget.

In fact, the entire US Navy, with the exception of the boomer subs, should be downsized. They don't do much but ride around on expensive boats while giving WAAAAY too many admirals big paychecks.
