Trump to sign executive order revamping policy on asylum seekers: report
By Michael Burke - 11/07/18 05:56 PM EST

President Trump is expected to sign an executive order this week that would revamp U.S. policy on asylum seekers by requiring them to go to ports of entry to apply for asylum, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

Trump could sign the order as soon as Friday morning before he leaves for Paris for a scheduled trip, the Journal reported, citing administration officials.

Those officials also told the newspaper that the plan is for the policy to be temporary, but they didn't provide a specific timeline.

Trump, who in recent weeks has emphasized his hard-line immigration stances, said last week that he was "finalizing a plan" that would deny asylum to people who don't enter at ports of entry.

The orders don't go far enough. IF they don't go to ports of entry then they are still entering this country illegally, just without asylum.  So the orders don't do squat to end ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION and granting asylum to those who make bogus claims.  We still have thousands pouring over our borders.

Even at that, every e.o. that he tries to implement the DEMS will cry foul and have the lower district courts overturn his orders or order him to stop.  It's already been done several times.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.
