‘It has been my honor to serve:’ Gov. Walker concedes governor’s race to Tony Evers
Posted 1:57 pm, November 7, 2018, by Katie DeLong and AP Wire Service, Updated at 03:10PM, November 7, 2018

MADISON — Governor Scott Walker on Wednesday, Nov. 7 released a statement conceding the governor’s race to Democratic challenger Tony Evers.

Walker said he called Evers on Wednesday to concede defeat. The two-term Republican incumbent had held off conceding because the race was so close, but his campaign decided Wednesday there were not enough votes in play to change the outcome.

Based on unofficial results, Evers won by about 31,000 votes.

...and another one bites the dust.  **nononono*
Romans 12:16-21

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

I would have voted for the Rat if I were there. He was offering a 10% tax cut. Scott? Not so much.

From what I can see, he left Wisconsin better than he found it.    That, if I recall,  was Reagan's standard for success in his valedictory.

And like Reagan,  Scott Walker is one of the good ones,  conservative and sensible and civil and - most of all - effective.

I hope he sees fit to want to serve in some capacity again.

Walker got elected on a promise to ease the tax burden and take the state out of deep debt which the previous gov., Dem Jim Doyle , had plunged the state into.
The state Dems also had a deal with the educrats/teachers union. They had a deal where the teachers didn't had to pay little or nothing for their health care/retirement adding debt to the state every year.
Walker made them pay.   Within a few years the state was out of debt. Walker got industry to come in (FoxCon), and the unemployment rate is at record lows around 3 percent.
The new gov. Evers, ex state schools superintendent,  will be busy raising taxes and striking deals with teachers to abolish Walker's reforms.
He is a typical Dem pol who will get more people on the dole while robbing the producers.

Humans make mistakes and fail.  That doesn't make them traitors, losers, or your enemy.  You make them your enemy.  Today's GOP does not recognize the hard work, good judgement, and honesty of WI Republicans like Ryan, Walker, and Priebus.  That would require observational and critical thinking skills.  I believe the GOP is making a huge mistake abandoning principles for populism, but then I'm not a Nationalist.

Trump claimed victory after Tuesday's election...I forgot to say Congratulations @Frank Cannon you deserve your party. wink777

When's the last time you EVER saw a dimocrat deliver on a tax cut?

Walker was a feline of a politician.  With all the recalls, protests, bs, he went bust after life no. 9.

If you choose to believe a Democrat about taxes, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.
If Evers actually cuts taxes, it will be a small cut, and he'll make up for doing other things that raises taxes in other areas and increases the state debt. That's what Dems here in Wisconsin have always done. He is ready to raise the state gas tax appreciably.  That would effectively negate any tax cuts he promised to certain voters.
He is also in favor of allowing illegals to vote and drive. In short, a typical liberal.

I agree, @Once-Ler.   With Trump, we're making a deal with the devil,  and appealing to voters who reject Reagan's vision of the shining city.   They may pay lip-service to American exceptionalism, but it's a variety that is closed to outsiders and fearful of the strength of our own culture, which is NOT "white" culture but rather a culture of big-sky opportunity for anyone with ambition and a tolerance for liberty.

Everyone is here going on about the great Scott Walker and how no one should believe the Rat for offering a 10% tax cut. Not once has anyone expalined why the Rat was the only one discussing tax cuts in this race. No one sees a problem with that?

Some politicos will say anything, do anything, and even sell their mother to get elected.  You know that.

Again, you didn't answer my question.....   When was the last dimocratic (executive) POTUS or Governor who delivered on a tax cut promise?  p.s. don't go back as far as Harry Truman.

Walker a class act who gave his support to Senator Cruz for the Wisconsin primary in 2016 where T. Cruz did win.

Walker certainly will be back, I expect the Democrats to run Wisconsin in the ground and want him back.

Did Trump come out for Walker?

Yes, and Walker joined the President at one of his rallies.

The President and Governor were a dynamic and successful team for Wisconsin's economy.
