Quote
Democrats had a huge night in state legislative races — which are little-watched but crucial for redistricting.

Democrats have so far gained six “trifectas,” or states where they control the governor’s office and both chambers of the legislature. The new trifectas are...

    Colorado
    Illinois
    Maine
    Nevada
    New Mexico
    New York

Those are added to the party’s eight existing trifectas (although the Connecticut governor’s race still bears watching).

They also busted four Republican trifectas: Kansas, Michigan, New Hampshire and Wisconsin.

The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, the party’s arm that works on state legislative races, said that as of 3 a.m. ET, Democrats had won 333 previously Republican-held seats.

These state legislative battles were among Republicans’ biggest successes during former President Barack Obama’s tenure, a period in which they gained nearly 1,000 seats.

Democrats had been at a major disadvantage in state capitals headed into this year’s midterm elections. But the party has also gained the governor’s offices in Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, New Mexico, Nevada and Wisconsin.

I am sick of the winning already.  Bring on the redistricting.

based on a census which asks place of birth and citizenship. Of course they can lie with no verification.

Unfortunately, the time for a Constitutional Convention or Convention of States was crucial BEFORE this mid term election when state legislators were overwhelmingly GOP and more states had GOP governors.  Way too late now.  I don't think we'll see another opportunity like we had.  I also highly doubt we'll see the GOP holding a majority in both Houses again especially after seeing the close race in the Senate in TX and FL and other close races.  The opponents that made the GOP squirm were far left. Socialism is acceptable and preferred among many millennials and in my humble opinion, that become evident last night.

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly, do not claim to be wiser than you are.  Do not repay anyone evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.  If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all…do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

As per normal, the GOP squandered another opportunity to do good.

@Once-Ler

Definitely not good.  I see that Mark Sanford’s former seat went blue for the first time in decades.

I agree @Frank Cannon.  The GOP is better with rats in charge of 333 previously Republican-held seats...or sumthin' ...Trump will explain it 90 minutes.

Which in perspective is a small giveback to what is usually a big bloodbath in the first midterm.

Ignore that however, and make sure you get your big "F*** Trump!" in there.

@libertybele

Not just millennials...but the flood of illegals into sanctuary states and cities...who are then allowed to get ID's and IMHO vote as well are turning the tide.  They are supporting people who have the same socialist views of the elected leaders from whence they came.

And that's exactly how the Dems planned it.

They can't win with the majority of Americans...so they have to import people who will vote the way they want them to.

We had a great chance for the last two years to try and stop illegal immigration to prevent more of this from happening and that time was squandered...probably won't get that chance again.
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.

We do @txradioguy because we still have a President who is totally on board with that, along with most of the country.

I am really disappointed.  I did not think we would lose the House.  It just seems incredible to me that anyone would vote for a democrat.  But we are getting a much fairer judiciary in general and especially in the Supreme Court  I am praying that we can get something meaningful done about illegal immigration.

From what I'm seeing, local races tended to go hard left,  too.
