IMPERIAL BEACH (CNS) - Eight suspected undocumented immigrants who landed on the beach near Border Field State Park on Thursday in a small fishing boat were taken into on suspicion of illegally entering the United States.

Lifeguards reported seeing the group on the ocean shoreline near the intersection of Coronado Avenue and Imperial Beach Boulevard about 7:45 a.m., according to the U.S. Border Patrol.

Personnel with the federal agency arrived in the area a short time later and arrested seven men and one woman, all believed to be Mexican nationals, USBP Supervisory Agent William Rogers said.

In recent years, some have come ashore in Orange County, 100 miles north.

Crystal Cove State Park. Walkway from the sand through a tunnel under Highway 1. From then head north or south on Highway 1, using Orange County Transit Authority Bus lines.

Head south to "Laguna Beach" or north to "Corona del Mar," Espanol words for easy travel.

Boat found abandoned on O.C. beach may have been used for human smuggling

June 2018.

LA Times has similar stories back to 2010.

The illegal immigrants have probably used the method, and probably know the best boat types, how much fuel. key navigation features, etc.

Oh and whereto go for jobs

This is what we have a "Coast Guard" for.

Sounds like we need a special subdivision of the USCG to patrol, intercept, and re-direct boats trying to "run the border" both on the Pacific Coast and Gulf of Mexico...
