Rich Hill, starting pitcher, Dodgers
Eduardo Rodriguez, starting pitcher, Red Sox
The Red Sox lead the series, 2-1

Rich Hill shakes off a two-out walk to Steve Pearce by striking out J.D. Martinez whose ankle may still be balky . . .

Red Sox none, the Dodgers coming up to the plate . . .

Second verse, same as the first . . . almost . . . Eduardo Rodriguez shakes off a two-out walk, gets Manny (Johnny Hustle) Machado to fly out to right . . .

No score after one full inning.

For the third straight half inning there's a two-out walk . . . and an out to follow, in this case a fly to left by the Red Sox's Christian Vasquez.

No score after one and a half . . .

First three half innings: two-out walks, then outs for the side. Bottom of the second: two-out base hit by Chris Taylor, then a strikeout for the side. No score after two full . . .

Rich Hill of the Dodgers opens by plunking Eduardo Rodriguez---who never had a hit in the majors . . . but a forceout, a pop, and a fly out later . . .

Still no score, going to the bottom of the third.

One out base hit for the Red Sox, with two out Mookie Betts sends Cody Bellinger to the track in center to catch it . . .

Still no score, middle of the fifth, and the Red Sox bullpen may be stirring . . .

The Dodgers gone in order in the fifth, the Red Sox gone in order in the top of the sixth, Rich Hill and Eduardo Rodriguez are still pitching like masters . . .

No score to the bottom of the sixth . . .

Red Sox catcher Christian Vasquez threw away what might have been a double-play finishing ball after getting the first out on the play and one run scored . . . then Yasiel Puig hit a three-run homer into the left field bleachers . . . Alex Cora may have left Eduardo Rodriguez in a hitter or two too long with Kelly and Barnes ready in the pen . . . it's 4-0, Dodgers in the bottom of the sixth!

Deep to right, Puig knows it immediately, this one is about halfway up the right field bleachers, as Mitch Moreland brings the Red Sox back to within a run in the top of the seventh!

The Dodgers gone in order in the seventh and they're asking Kenley Jansen for six outs for the second day in a row, first time they've asked for that in Jansen's career . . .

4-3, Dodgers after seven . . .

Woot!  Rooting for the BoSox because LA fans are such insufferable "winners", rioting, looting, arson, vandalism, etc.....can't stand the thought of dealing with millions of arrogant "winners" in my area.

Xander Bogaerts hit a two-out RBI single to make it 9-4 . . .

They go to the bottom of the ninth and Ryan Brasier will try to close it out and keep Craig Kimbrel fresh for Game Five . . .

YES!  More 2 out RBI's! :da man:
With these Red Sox, they could have nobody on and two out and it's a threat . . . to them, scoring position is the batter's box . . .
