You can’t have it both ways – claim Trump’s rhetoric triggers violence, but ignore Maxine Waters or Eric Holder rhetoric
October 27, 2018 | Vivek Saxena

Various Fox News personality agreed Friday evening that the media’s attempts to blame suspected package bomber Cesar Sayoc Jr’s actions on President Donald Trump is unfair and disingenuous, particularly in light of the left’s own behavior and rhetoric.

“All of these people … were silent when all of these Republican cabinet members and Republican officials were run out of restaurants by mobs. CNN even said you can’t say it’s a mob,” host Sean Hannity noted, referencing the left’s normalization of harassment and violence against conservatives.

He also alluded to debunked claims by several CNN pundits that violent leftist mobs don’t exist.

Contributor Joe Concha of The Hill agreed, saying, “You can’t have it both ways and say President Trump’s rhetoric is triggering people to incite violence and then ignore Maxine Waters or Cory Booker or Eric Holder or anybody who’s said, ‘Get up in people’s faces, run them out of restaurants, tell them they’re not welcome and kick them.’ You cannot have it both ways.'”
