Julian Castro says he's 'likely' to challenge Trump in 2020
« on: October 17, 2018, 12:26:16 am »
Oh, hell no!  I saw this one coming long ago.  For those who don't know who this character is his mother was instrumental in forming LaRaza. This would be the WORST scenario; Cruz loses his Senate seat, we lose the majority and Castro challenges Trump.  IMHO, the DEMS would be so energized, so full of endless corruption, that he would give Trump a run for his money, especially if amnesty is granted in some way before 2020.  Mark my word on this.

Julian Castro says he's 'likely' to challenge Trump in 2020

Former Obama administration official and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro said he is "likely" to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020.
"I'm likely to do it. I have a strong vision for the country. I believe that our country's going in the wrong direction and that it needs new leadership. I'll make a final decision after November, but I'm inclined to do it," Castro said in an interview published by Rolling Stone on Tuesday.

Castro, who was the secretary of housing and urban development during the Obama administration, has stoked speculation about his presidential ambitions in a series of public comments and with increasingly frequent travel to presidential primary states. He had been rumored to be a contender for the vice presidential spot on the 2016 Democratic ticket......

Have you moved into an alternate universe @libertybele   This dude is a joke and Cruz will cruise to victory.

??? This has nothing to do with Cruz.  Castro is stating that he is considering challenging Trump in 2020.  IF the DEMS win a majority in either House, there is risk of some type of amnesty. That is reality.  It is estimated that there are (conservatively) 20,000,000 illegals.  Eventually they will vote, as will their sons, daughters, aunts, uncles, etc., making it mathematically impossible for a REP to retain their seats or be elected.

Castro is the son of a woman who was instrumental in forming  LaRaza; basically the take over of America as they feel that this land is rightfully theirs.  It doesn't matter if he is a clown, he is part of a movement.

Perhaps you see my opinion as part of an alternative universe, but the undercurrent in this country is real, the left wants to ensure votes and right now they have a mob rule mentality...as does LaRaza.

Sorry about the alternate universe comment @libertybele but I do think you are more pessimistic than circumstances warrant.  Do you really think LaRaza is a powerful force in this country? I think it is a borderline movement despised by most people.

Yes, I do believe that they are a powerful undercurrent in this country, that encourages racism, promotes illegal immigration and funds various different anti-American movements.

Soros has also donated to LaRaza very handsomely so yet again, yes,  I see them as a powerful force.

Exactly right.  Just heard Rush 'wonder' who is behind the massive Central American caravan moving its way to the US re: who is feeding them, who is providing for their hygiene and who is, in reality, behind their "movement" to the USA.  I posit that it is also George Soros behind it all.   So yeah, it's definitely a threat to our republic and our country as founded.  It's an orchestrated invasion.  And Soros/Obama kicked it off and got it started.

The invasion has been going on long before Bammy.  I do know that there was a concentrated effort during W's administration to push for amnesty.  Obviously, various different groups and the people were able to keep that from happening.

What is disturbing is the amount of illegals let in under Bammy, including bringing in mass numbers of teenagers and placed throughout the U.S.  From my understanding they are not counted among the illegals as the have been categorized as 'displaced'.  Most should be just around voting age by now.  Even more disturbing; the GOP held the majority the last 2 years of his administration and nearly 2 years under Trump.  Yet we still have NO wall and illegals are still pouring over the border.

I raise a question to all in here ... why can't Trump issue an executive order to build the wall, or order the National Guard, or Army Corps of Engineers to build the wall???

Not like this.... not like what has been going on since Obama's reign.   This is an orchestrated mass invasion of immigrants.   Sure, illegals trickled across the border before Barry, but never in this manner or amount of people.   This is the literal definition of "invading hoards".

As for why can't Trump do an EO... he still has to have the funding for building the wall, and that has to come from Congress.  That's why.

Funding is what I had figured, except, doesn't he have $$ in discretionary funds in various different departments?

Perhaps there is another reason though; perhaps he is afraid of an all out civil war ... 20,000,000 illegals and all their relatives on the other side would come out of the woodwork.

This is why groups like LaRaza are so dangerous; they would not sit idly by.  Yet, American citizens have been watching their country be invaded for decades.  What's wrong with this picture?

And the irony is... even many, if not most, of the now legal citizens that were formerly illegal immigrants... want the border wall to keep out 'more' illegals from coming in.  They get the logic of how it negatively impacts the economy for those already here.  Too bad the leftie useful idiots don't get that, too.
