Woman removed from flight bound for Cleveland due to ’emotional support’ squirrel
Fox News 8/Cleveland, Oct 9, 2018, Kara Sutyak

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Frontier Airlines said a woman had to be escorted off a flight bound for Cleveland Tuesday night due to a squirrel.

Frontier said a passenger boarded Flight 1612 in Orlando, saying the squirrel was an emotional support animal.

The airline said the passenger noted in her reservation that she was bringing an emotional support animal, but it was not indicated the animal was a squirrel.

Frontier said "rodents, including squirrels are not allowed" on its flights.

The passenger was advised of the policy and asked to get off the plane.

The airline said when she refused, Orlando police were called and requested everyone be deplaned so they could deal with the passenger.

Police eventually escorted her off the plane and took her to the main terminal.

Who is more stupid?  The woman for bringing her emotional support squirrel with her on an airplane or the airline for actually letting her on the plane with it before deciding to kick her off?

You used to have to keep it to yourself. Now everyone you contact must suffer it.

Who cares about squirrels being banned from flights. When they start banning Emotional Support Beavers, then I will panic.

In this instance it is almost entirely the left.

Legislation, aimed at  good mental health "science," forcing businesses, schools employers, to accept this comfort animal non-sense.

Thankfully sanity is starting to prevail.

A  lot of misinformation was spread. For instance, that you could not challenge the person.

In Calif, you CAN challenge the person, AND they must respond the animal is trained and able to perform specific support for an identifiable disability or condition.

"Making them feel better," for some vaguely claimed condition doesn't get it.

Think seeing eye dog for a blind person, not feel good squirrel for an able bodied person.

No.  Illiterate 15th-century peasants had more common sense.

Whatever happened to just getting a tranquilizer from the doctor?

Rodent therapy is probably covered under 0bamacare with zero copays.

Might be interesting though if the passenger in the next seat happened to have an emotional support python...

That is funny.  I'm actually okay with the python - so long as it's a small python.  Ask any dog, a squirrel is just a rat with a bushy tail.

I understand that squirrel did ask for one but the doctor declined.

If it was an emotional support Gerbil she could have gone the Richard Gere/PVC pipe route and flown fine.  Squirming every bump.  But fine
