I assume you're referring to me @Emjay  --- although it could be one of several others.

But back to my point:  What the hell is *your* point in posting this?  Are you in such pathetic need of validation from total strangers?

PLEASE in the name of God, STOP dragging crap from previous threads around with you and dumping it at will. I don't know how you're able to type with all the sh*t you carry.   Stop acting like a perennial victim and just maybe we won't have problems in the future.

The choice is yours.

@Right_in_Virginia
I was referring to you and I should have said so.  But asking me to just forget when someone insults me to the point of sending an abusive private message is asking a little too much.

We will not have problems in the future, I assure you.

Interesting.   So anyone who can't appreciate another $2+ trillion added to our national debt can go straight to hell?  Yeah, right.

Good grief, I am sick and tired of your all-or-nothing bullshit, DC.  I have heaped plenty of praise on President Trump and have loudly defended him against the lies of the left.  Yet that still isn't good enough for you.

Here is the primary difference between me and you.  I support Conservatism.  You support Trump.  I stand by the ideal.  You stand by the power.  You do EXACTLY what liberals do.  Just like the lie above.  Because in a [**] Conservative forum, I expect others to appreciate Conservatism.  But not you.  Oh no, not you.  You will champion the pinnacle of liberal ideology as long as Trump is the one doing it.

But thanks for the "go straight to hell" offer.  It has been a very long time since I trolled DU.  Yet you have now brought DU to us.

Guilty conscience, huh?

Who the hell was thinking of @Hoodat in my screeds.   Certainly not me.

You're a GD piker compared to others in here.

And who in the hell cares whether the deficit is $19 Trillion or $21 Trillion.   WTF is going to pay that off?

At least President Trump's huge economic successes in jobs and taxes collected from the millions of new employed gives us an opportunity.

....an opportunity to demonstrate to the great unwashed, how economies work/function.

#1.  I am accomplishing nothing, because the brain inside their thick skulls is the size of a bleeping walnut.   And it rattles loudly.

#2.  Don't give a rat's ass how I'm perceived.   Been around 20 years between TOS and various forums together with the core members here. That's 2 decades for those in Rio Linda.

Anyone here that can't get behind Donald Trump is a waste of oxygen.

Yeah, well, again, it's not about you.

In my mind it’s down to this: I’m working to defeat democrats on the Left and NeverTrumpers on the Right. Whatever the etiology, nevers give cover to the democrats, and that sucks.

No they don’t.  They just recognize the man for who he actually is.  Trump is a conservative the same way Clinton was a new kind of democrat.  I’m glad you like things so far.  You’re going to absolutely love a lame duck dealmaker working with Schumer and Pelosi to give us paid family leave, some equally lousy version of Medicare for all, immigration reform with no wall, and god knows what else in a few years.  You’ll still be able to chant ‘Gorsuch and Kavanaugh’ though. 👍

Yeah?   Well, I was specifically responding to questions asked of ME.

@Hoodat

Damn. Just when I want to defend some who are not yet supporting the President...there you go again.

We are not supporting Trump vs Conservatism...we are supporting Trump because he is the most effective and ardent advocate FOR Conservatism. Yes, you have every right to criticize deficit spending...just as I could fairly criticize Reagan for the same...but you are wrong to pretend that Trump is not doing a whole catalog of other things that are powerfully ADVANCING the conservative cause.

So WE don't support Trump while YOU support Conservatism...we support Trump BECAUSE he advances Conservatism. Your expression to the contrary is disingenuous and counterproductive because you unfairly question the motives of those with whom you disagree.

Sorry about all the utter crap @Mesaclone   It seems that both sides are entrenched in a bit of stupidity and refuse to budge.

I have supported Trump since the morning after the election when I realized he did a fantastic thing when he defeated Hillary and the dark minions of the left.

It took a while longer for me to get over being annoyed at some of the things he did ... like the 3 AM tweets, but I got over that when I realized that they do serve a purpose, a somewhat less elegant version of Roosevelt's fireside chats.

And the media has been a friend to Trump in the sense that every time I click on Yahoo or any other liberal news outlet, I feel defensive about Trump and like him more.

But there is no doubt that some of Trump's most fervent allies on this Board do him more harm than good.

What part of "I have heaped plenty of praise on President Trump" did you not get?

So WE don't support Trump while YOU support Conservatism...we support Trump BECAUSE he advances Conservatism.

Uh, no.  It goes far beyond that.  When Trump supported Kelo, his supporters defended him.  When he said that Planned Parenthood does wonderful things, his supporters defended him.  When Trump came out in favor of Touchback Amnesty, his supporters defended him.  When Trump imposed the exact same type of tariffs that Obama imposed, his supporters defended him.  And when Trump signed a stimulus package bigger than Obama's, his supporters defended him.  None of those are Conservative positions.  None advanced Conservatism.  Yet you say that you support Trump BECAUSE he advances Conservatism even though each of those positions is the exact opposite of Conservatism?  I think not.

As I said, the sycophants are never satisfied.  I applaud Trump for getting Gorsuch and Kavanaugh on the bench just as I applaud Ted Cruz for making the courts a primary issue these past two years.  Yet that isn't good enough.  For some reason, I am expected to praise Trump while at the same time vilify Cruz as if he were Trump's Emmanuel Goldstein.  To hell with that.

Grow up already.  Stop being so damn insecure.  If Trump wants my support, then he will do Conservative things.  But I WILL NOT support liberalism just because Trump is the one doing it.  This really isn't complicated.  I had this exact same conversation with some guy named JimRob at some other site.  I had wrongly assumed that he would act like an adult about my defense of Conservatism.  Yet he wasn't secure in his position since it was a position not based in truth.  He took the same tact as you.  Blind allegiance no matter what.  And with the reigns of power he held, he retaliated against truth by censoring the voices of those who defended Conservatism.

Personally, I am really glad that Donald Trump is President right now.  And I will be voting for him in 2020.  But I am not about to turn my back on what is true and right.  So I refuse to lie to others about how Trump is a swamp-drainer or how Trump is going to do away with baseline budgeting and demand that they swallow those lied.  Because TRUTH is simply too important to forfeit for the sake of a king.

No they don’t.  They just recognize the man for who he actually is.  Trump is a conservative the same way Clinton was a new kind of democrat.  I’m glad you like things so far. Who WOULDN'T like deep tax cuts, record unemployment, new and improved NAFTA, Obamacare mandate GONE, North Korea on the road to eliminating nukes, out of Paris accords, and on and on .... a long litany of conservative achievements. You’re going to absolutely love a lame duck dealmaker working with Schumer and Pelosi to give us paid family leave, some equally lousy version of Medicare for all, immigration reform with no wall, and god knows what else in a few years.  So you're slamming Trump for what you think he MIGHT do...despite nothing in what he HAS DONE suggesting such a U turn. You’ll still be able to chant ‘Gorsuch and Kavanaugh’ though. Those ARE good chants...and important...but your comment is rather petty.👍

And quite frankly, if you're arguing that NT's like Sasse, Flake, Romney and others have NOT provided cover for the Left...I think you are either lying to us or to yourself. The very HEART of NeverTrumpism resides within the GOP establishment...not sure how you could argue that the establishment has done ANYTHING to advance conservatism.

I’m fairly unimpressed with the establishment, as well.  However, the three biggest accomplishments under Trump have been the tax bill and two SCOTUS appointments.   Who do you think came up with those ideas? It certainly wasn’t Trump or any of his closest advisors.

Hell, the appointment of Gorsuch and federal judge vacancies are thanks to the King Of Establishment Clowns, Mitch McConnell.

In your long list of what Trump supporters defend...the ONLY thing there that I have ever defended is certain tariffs. And those I supported as a means of forcing other parties to drop their own tariffs and to create incentives for them to move towards actual free markets. So that IS a conservative move.

As for lying, your claims on owning the truth is shallow and self serving...all of us here advocate for the truth, though we ALL have different perceptions of what that truth may be. Likewise, there is no "blind allegiance" on this board...at least...no moreso than there is "blind opposition". So hop down from that moral high horse.

Okay @INVAR I'll ask you:

Tell me what peace offering for defending Donald Trump, what mea culpa for winning the election, what act of self-flagellation for cheering the President's successes will satisfy you.

Why are you so damn concerned about what I personally will accept of you?  I thought you gave a rat's ass about what I think?

Clearly you lied to yourself.

Go.  Just go and fight the political war with all the factional gusto you can muster.  Rally yourselves to your man and his banner.  Fight for your faction.   Obliterate your enemies before you.   Have fun.

I want no part of that.  None.  Zero.

We were already warned where that will end up and I will have no hand bringing about the consequences.   You folks illustrate a microcosm of what that consequence is gonna look like right here on this forum:  either 100% devotion and fealty to your chosen prince and his party and agenda - or ostracization, retribution and punishment administered by yourselves according to your lust.  I have 20 - plus years repented of and I will not return to the vomit or the mire.

Enjoy - for you already have your reward.

I'm fighting a different war altogether.

on

That wasn't personally directed at you.  But I seen Trump supporters defend each and every one of those.

As for the high horse of truth, how exactly am I supposed to take it when Trump sides to the left of Bernie Sanders when it comes to property rights?  Do I simply cover up the blatant contradiction by repeating lies about Ted Cruz?

Again, I am very pleased with the results Trump has achieved, primarily his unsettling ability to frustrate liberals to the point of impotence.  But I am also sick and tired of seeing the NT boogeyman being paraded about with calls to kiss the ring every time good news comes out.

Wow!! Did a bunch of folks get up on the wrong side of the bed, the VERY DAY after ANOTHER great result?

Judge K will be confirmed. That is good. Credit is due, to Republicans Trump, McConnell, Grassley, Graham, and Collins.
Romney, McMuffin, Sasse, Castle had nothing to do with it.

Certainly the Republican #nevertrump movement had nothing to do, unless Flakey boy is considered.
