Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley issued a blistering response to a letter from Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders demanding an investigation not just into the allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh regarding sexual misconduct, but also into whether or not the judge lied about his high school and college drinking habits.

Sanders shared a copy of his letter on Twitter early Saturday morning.

Lying to Congress is a federal crime.

The FBI must examine the veracity of Kavanaugh’s statements under oath in addition to the sexual assault allegations against him. Kavanaugh’s truthfulness with the Senate goes to the very heart of whether he should be confirmed to the court. pic.twitter.com/TsNOTm4fxK

Taking a cue from other liberals, Sen. Bernie Sanders has moved the goalposts again in regard to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by demanding that the Senate Judiciary Committee make the FBI also investigate whether the nominee ever perjured himself while testifying to Congress.

“In order for this FBI investigation regarding Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to be complete, it is imperative the bureau must not only look into the accusations made by Dr. Ford, Deborah Ramirez and Julie Swetnick,” he wrote Saturday morning to committee chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley.

He[Grassley] then asked whether this means Sanders is “now undecided and willing to seriously” consider Kavanaugh as a potential SCOTUS justice, before concluding with this humdinger: “I appreciate your raising concerns, which others have already raised, at this eleventh hour.”

Right on, Sen. Grassley!    All the sound coming from the arseholes of Democrats is flatulence;  with the possible exceptions of Heidkamp, Donnelly and Manchin, the rest of them made up their minds the instant of Kav's nomination.
