Ford’s attorney: We can’t impose ‘artificial limits’ on this FBI investigation

Who could have seen this coming? Even as Republicans seem ready to accept what Democrats demanded all day yesterday, you can already hear the sound of goalposts being dragged further down the field. Here’s the statement:

A problem for Dems with the July 1, 1982 entry on Kavanaugh's calendar

Charles Cooke pretty much summed up my reaction:

“The case that was made for Brexit was a fantasy case.”

Cornyn: This is the Senate's worst moment since the McCarthy hearings; Update: Has the votes?

"You're right to be angry."

The old saw: "If you can't beat them with your brilliance, dazzle them with your bullsh*t" applies here.  It must be easy to be a lawyer these days.  It seems as if all they try to do is come up with some pile of rubbish to rest their cases on - sort of like the "affluenza" case.  Like "artificial time limits" which could mean forever - or at least until after the midterms. :bullie smokin:

This of course is going to be how the DEMS will delay Kavanaugh until after the midterms.  This will blow into an on going investigation. Keep in mind it was Trump who ordered the investigation.  It appeased Flake, the left and a few hold outs; basically giving them what they want and as usual the DEMS will keep pushing for more.  Trump made a HUGE mistake.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.
