The GOP has reached an agreement after outgoing Senator Jeff Flake asked for the US Senate to delay the House floor vote for a week.

According to FOX News, the FBI has not been contacted at the time of this publication. It is unclear if FBI can resolve in under a week, says Congress reporter Chad Pergram.

On Friday afternoon, Flake asked for an FBI investigation into the baseless charges against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

The Senate Judiciary Committee then moved to confirm Judge Kavanaugh 11 yea votes to 10 nays for the Democrats.

To no one’s surprise, Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) told reporters she supports the call by Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) for a one week delay for the Senate floor vote on the nomination of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Top Republican Senators discussed how they would move forward after Flake flaked–and once again proved he is the worst of the worst RINOs.

It's possible to wrap in a week, if the FBI is limited to only the Ford allegations, and a branch office does it.  If the charter is unlimited, or if HQ is allowed to do it, then it won't be done before the end of the year (maybe).

Exactly right.

If this is limited to the Ford allegations, the FBI investigation essentially will consist of personal interviews to corroborate the sworn statements filed by the other alleged eyewitnesses -- all of whom didn't even remember the event at all.  They may also confirm with Ford that she has no other contemporaneous evidence.  It's basically moving paper from one side of the desk to the other.

What the Democrats actually want is a full-blown character investigation focusing on anything Kavanaugh may have done in either high school or college, regardless of whether or not it had anything to do with Ford.  As long as the FBI doesn't do that, this could be wrapped up by Tuesday or Wednesday easily.
