Brett Kavanaugh professes innocence in tears in impassioned, angry opening statement

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh came out swinging in his opening remarks, defending himself against the sexual assault allegations levied by Palo Alto University professor Christine Blasey Ford and launching partisan attacks against Senate Democrats, who he called an “embarrassment” and warned, “what goes around, comes around.”

“You’ve tried hard, given it your all, no one can question your effort,” Kavanaugh said, referring to Democrats. “But your coordinated and well-funded effort to destroy my good name and destroy my family will not drive me out.”

Kavanaugh’s defiant statement — which he read large pieces of through tears — is different from the opening remarks he had submitted to the Senate Judiciary Committee and that were released on Wednesday, a day before the hearing.

The new remarks, which Kavanaugh said were not reviewed by anyone before he delivered them other than a former law clerk, were much more combative and partisan. In them he posits that the allegations against him were, “revenge on behalf of the Clintons.”

Ultimately, Kavanaugh vehemently denied Ford’s accusations on Thursday afternoon. Earlier in the day, Ford said that she is “100%” sure Kavanaugh was the boy who sexually assaulted her when they were teenagers in the early 1980s.

“I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone, not in high school, not in college, not ever,” Kavanaugh said Thursday.

One observation: Dianne Feinstein  looked quite tame when she faced the Judge.

He simply slam-dunked Feinstein during her questions.

She quickly conceded her time in short order, and didn’t request an extension of time.

He also made one important point that everyone should consider — No other Justice has been vetted more times and more thoroughly by the FBI than Kavanaugh himself.

Is the FBI more incompetent and do they have less resources than guys like porn star lawyer Avenatti and his ilk?

Are they as incompetent as Dianne Feinstein, who did not even realize she has been harboring a Chinese Spy as an employee for years?

Actually, He not only showed that he is a decent man, but he also showed that has a decent family.

Yes, that was lovely.  But the Clinton stuff?

He said only what was true. He did not attack the Clintons, he said it was revenge by the Democrats for her defeat... something that has been obvious from the time of Trump's inauguration when Hillary supporters like Madonna remarked in a protest March how she was thinking of bombing the White House.
