Durbin: Kavanaugh's accuser is not being treated respectfully
By Megan Keller - 09/23/18 09:42 AM EDT

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) said Sunday that he thinks the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of attempted sexual assault at a high school party in the 1980s is not being treated respectfully.

"I do believe that she has not been treated well over the course of this and the Republicans...feel uneasy with the way this has been handled," Durbin, the number two Democrat in the Senate, said on ABC's "This Week."

He pointed to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley's (R-Iowa) attempts to set up a conference call with the accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, ahead of the originally scheduled confirmation vote for Kavanaugh.

Lindsey Graham: Chairman Grassley has ‘bent over backward’ to accommodate Christine Blasey Ford
by Caitlin Yilek

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her decades ago, will be treated “fairly” when she testifies in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. But Graham, a member of that panel, emphasized that not all of her lawyers’ demands will be met.

The committee and Ford’s lawyers reached a tentative deal on Saturday for the California professor to testify about her allegation on Thursday, following several days of negotiations between the two parties, with Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, extending the deadline for Ford to agree to testifying several times.

“Chairman Grassley has bent over backward to make this happen,” Graham told “Fox News Sunday.” “The offer is Thursday at 10 o’clock. She made 10 conditions through her lawyer, we accepted six.”

It seems to me she is being treated infinitesimally better than he and his fellow hypocrites treated the accusers of Bile Clinton!  :amen:

Do you have a link?  Thanks.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.
