Ben Carson floats 'big picture' conspiracy to explain Brett Kavanaugh sexual assault allegation

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson spoke Friday of a wide-ranging clandestine plot that aims to disrupt the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh.

Speaking at the Values Voter summit in Washington, D.C., Carson tied a sexual assault allegation the judges faces to a group of people actively trying to undermine American democracy.

“If you really understand the big picture of what’s going on, then what’s going on with Judge Kavanaugh will make perfectly good sense to you,” Carson said. “There have been people in this country for a very long time, going all the way back to the Fabians, who have wanted to fundamentally change this country.”

Carson was referring to the Fabian Society, a British socialist group that dates back to the 1800s that today factors into United Kingdom's Labour Party. As noted in other reports, a chapter was opened in Boston in 1985, but is no longer active.

I don't know about Carson's theory, but there is definitely an effort to make sure Judge Kavanaugh is not confirmed.  And it's not entirely a Democrat plot.  Republicans like Collins, Murkowski and Flake are also complicit.

If Kavanaugh goes down it will be a tremendous tragedy, one that Democrats hope will send chills down the spine of any conservative who wishes to advance on corporate America or government.  All it takes is one unfounded accusation to ruin a career. 

How many liberal women out there might be willing to manufacture a story like this for the cause of liberation of their wombs?  No due process, just throw the accused to the mob.  It is a disgusting spectacle, and I suspect that for every woman who might be energized by it, there are more men who are outraged at this abuse of power.

Most of the men caught up in #metoo have been liberals.  It has long been known that if a man wanted to he a philanderer, it was much easier to do so as a Democrat. 

Now they have a playbook for conservatives.  Lie and require no evidence.
