Republican Senate candidate Chris McDaniel was booed by a crowd during a live taping of “Morning Joe” on Friday after saying that African Americans have spent 100 years “begging for federal government scraps.”

The comment from the GOP candidate came during a segment of the MSNBC show taped at the University of Mississippi in Oxford.

Panelist Eddie Glaude Jr. asked McDaniel about his stance on the Confederate flag, saying that 38 percent of Mississippi residents are black while asking McDaniel how he would appeal to those voters and convince them "you are not a danger to them."

Ronald Reagan: “Rather than...talking about putting up a fence, why don’t we work out some recognition of our mutual problems and make it possible for them to come here legally with a work permit…earning here they pay taxes here.”

Actually, he's right.

By the way, the link needs the "http//" in front.  I found that out myself not long ago when citing The Hill.

He is right, but this will be shown as racist by the media, which is itself racist.

Well let me guess this guy is Trump hand picked?  I would not argue that he is wrong but delivery is DOA.  Its like bad bedside manners.  You can actually draw in African Americans with the right words.  These are not it.
AG William Barr: "I'm recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I subsequently joined for a period of time."

Alexander Acosta Labor Secretary resigned under pressure concerning his "sweetheart deal" with Jeffrey Epstein.  He was under consideration for AG after Sessions was removed, but was forced to resign instead.

Of course, he will be accused of racism.  The minister at Aretha Franklin's funeral was also roundly criticized for telling the truth.  People hear only what they want to hear.  They have a resistance for the truth.

Alas, no matter how Mr. McDaniel tries to explain or spin his remarks, his candidacy is sunk.  He's just not PC.  And you know the opposition will run ads with McCaniel's words portraying him as scum.

  • All deserve a trial if accused

In Mississippi? We certainly aren't talking about Rhode Island here.

This shows how just trusting the Hill in this case, probably isn't the best thing to do. They are but one source.

I think context is important, per a post in that other thread:

Liberal MSNBC Panelist Taunts Republican Candidate in Mississippi
Goaded by Princeton professor Eddie Glaude (above), U.S. Senate hopeful stayed focused on campaign message

By PoliZette Staff | Saturday, September 15, 2018

The co-hosts and panelists of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program on Friday — which was done from the road in Oxford, Mississippi — welcomed various candidates for the Senate in that state, including Democrat Mississippi state Rep. David Baria, Republican candidate Chris McDaniel, and Mike Espy, former Democrat congressman and agriculture secretary under President Bill Clinton.

Well, the panel welcomed some of those candidates.

There may be a context to what people say, the Lifezette website from what I've heard is Laura Ingraham's project. This above article must be the same appearance on Morning Joe.

The spin is the Hill article, really. Then, we have this other one.
