Presidential Chaos
By Chet Richards

The Oval Office is in chaos.  Donald Trump is mercurial, scatter-brained, given to changing his opinion every few minutes.  Talks all the time.  Doesn’t listen.  Is opinionated.  Often wrong.  He is interested only in today, not tomorrow.  He lacks caution.  It all adds up to a president who clearly is mentally deficient – insane even.  Or so some say.  They say it is vital for the Nation’s future that Donald Trump be relieved of his office – or at least tightly controlled.

All of the above may, or may not, be true.  Only those in a day-to-day working relationship with the president know the reality, and publicly they say only positive things about the man.

Whatever the truth, the simple fact is that Donald Trump is, thus far, perhaps the most productive president in American history.  Only Teddy Roosevelt is a productive rival, and chaos surrounded him, as well.  How can Trump’s purported chaotic insanity produce such positive results?

The simplest explanation is simple:  Donald Trump may be a genius!  Don’t laugh.  He may be the real thing.  He jokes about it, which suggests he doesn’t realize that he really is (see the Dunning-Kruger effect).  His career record certainly suggests he is a major creative talent – and a gutsy one at that.

A lot of people dislike Mitch McConnell, but he said something in January that should be remembered:

Quote
Sitting down with Dana Perino on "The Daily Briefing," McConnell (R-Ky.) said many Republicans weren't sure what to expect from Trump after the election, but he was pleased with the results in 2017.  "2017 was the best year for conservatives in the 30 years that I've been here. The best year on all fronts. And a lot of people were shocked because we didn't know what we were getting with Donald Trump."

He certainly shocked me.  I voted for him solely because there was a greater chance he'd appoint conservative judges than would Hillary Clinton.  I expected him to cave on ObamaCare, and pass legislation cementing it in place.  I expected him to grant paid leave for childbirth, increase taxes, etc..  He did all he could on ObamaCare considering that Congress wasn't willing to repeal it, he didn't go with paid leave for childbirth, he's rolled back a ton of regulations, and he gave us the biggest corporate tax reform in history.

Obviously, I wish we could have gotten a lot more, but considering the alternative of Hillary....I'm thrilled.

Considering the ever-spiraling, out of control national debt, I wouldn't say I'm thrilled.  But so far, I'm not suicidal...lol.  No, really... I'm ok with most of Trump's agenda so far.  That could change, however.  In a NY micro-second.  If he lurches left.....

Maybe I'm going out on a limb here (no, not really) but considering his mgt style and success with it before he was elected (Win, no matter what) and how much public derision he's dumped on the left Since elected, the chances of him trying to cuddle up to them and Expecting a fair shake, are about 10 Million to One.

So no, I'm not worried about him lurching left.
My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

Your logic is impeccable.   Problem is....

He stands Diagnosed at a remove as a narcissist, by Quacks who list it as a Mental Disorder (except that narcissism happens to be a part of the human condition, not a mental disorder.) It refuses to let him be truly beaten by anyone.

Look at how he keeps doubling down on those thieving, spying, Orwellian ChiComs.

Their reaction, while at first glance it can be viewed as them counter punching: moving in on Botswana (worlds largest producer of diamonds) and now Venezuela (oil and infrastructure to produce it) are something they'd have done anyway. They just sped up the time line on their infamous 'belt and silk road' agenda.

While I don't know What he's gonna do to frustrate them there, I'm sure, will run true to his nature.

His Narcissist will continue to double down against them in ways designed to benefit America by screwing them.

I doubt very much he'll just sit there with egg on his face, or apologize and back off. It's not in him.

If I'm sure of anything about Trump, it's that he's a Street Fighter First and not just another disgusting, Sell Out Diplomat.

What you predict may well turn out to be true.  But.... I have yet to see anyone take the fall for the current and previous administration corruption other than a mere "firing".  If or when I witness the perps actually serving time behind bars... where ANY of us would end up had we done the same deeds.... then I might agree that he's a street fighter.  Until then....

no sale.

Sorry.

Seriously... unless or until the DC elitist/establishment swamp is truly drained... (meaning ALL of the perps are fired and prosecuted)... it's all just BS fantasy and unicorns.  I want to see results.  Justice.  The same kind that you or I would face... NOT the usual double-standard two systems when or if it involves a damned Democrat.

Trump's traits define his personality of which his Mother was
acutely aware; having sent him to a Military Academy at 13.
He is 73 , incorrigible and incapable of changing his persona.
So are we doomed? Absolutely not!
What matters are his policies which impact plain people.
This is where the role of trusted advisors is far beyond critical.
He/they must find a way to discern character in subordinates;
arguably the most telling shortcoming of his administration.
Consider Sessions a moment!!!

I'm confused.   Grand juries are not investigative entities.  What are they supposed to uncover?  The effing obvious?  That McCabe and others under the Clinton umbrella lied to FISA judges, which were probably complicit and in on the scheme, in order to gain warrants to spy on the Trump campaign?  Duh.   I'm getting a keen sense of the "Inspector Clouseau effect" here alluva sudden.  And no....

not holding my breath for anyone to actually be frog-marched to prison.

This is just reiterating stuff that we've already known about for MONTHS now.  I realize that the wheels of justice turn slowly... but if or when it concerns anyone on the left side of the aisle... those wheels seem to grind to an annoyingly screeching halt.  Keep in mind...

in the world of leftist-think Democrats... the term "going down" either relates to being forced to retire, with pay and pension.... or to the other "obvious" definition.  JS....
