@Frank CannonNope. She helped establish a precedent,and so did the USMC brass that even allowed her and other women to enter the course and to pass it by changing the standards.
The problem is now going to be there forever.
Gee,I wonder what will happen if/when they are ever sent into combat and can't carry the same loads as the men,men die because they aren't strong enough to pick them up and carry them to aid stations,they have their periods out in the field and no access to sanitation,etc,etc,etc.
Actually I don't wonder. I know. So do you. Men will die and the women will end up being given medals,promotions, and then staff positions at the rear where they can no longer do much harm due to a lack of strength and mass.
