Hundreds of parents flood Board of Education to demand control over their kids’ sex education

Parents want to be notified when children will be taught about sexual issues

Several hundred parents recently turned out at a Board of Education meeting in California to demand greater control over their children’s sex education curriculums, calling for notification and an opt-out option when their children are presented with sexually explicit content in public schools.

A meeting of the Chino Valley Board of Education was inundated with the parents late last week, according to a post at LifeNews written by President of the Family Research Council Tony Perkins. Video of the event posted to Facebook showed smiling parents holding up signs reading “Let Parents Decide” and “Support Parents’ Right to Decide” while filling a hallway.

Kids are not miniature adults, even if education has come to treat them that way.  They need to be taught certain things as they become socially and emotionally mature enough to handle them, not whenever it fits into a curriculum. :pondering:

This is about what fits into other than a curriculum.

Does the state own the children? Does the state own the parents? If not then the parents call the shots.
