Polish ex-president Wałęsa offers to nominate Sentsov for Nobel Peace Prize

Lech Wałęsa, the Polish leader in 1990-1995, the holder of Nobel Peace Prize offered to nominate Ukrainian movie maker and political prisoner Oleg Sentsov for this prize.

The respective announcement was spread via the press service of the Polish Cinema Academy.

'Sentsov supported Euromaidan, stood for Ukraine as part of democratic Europe. He peacefully protested against the annexation of his native Crimea by Russia, and then he was arrested by Russian special services. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison due to the unfair trial, in spite of the fact that the witness recalled his testimony, given under pressure', reads the message.
