Usually, when a child is sent home with a disciplinary note, it is a sign that the child was showing a lack of manners. But a North Carolina mother found herself in an odd situation, where her son was actually being punished for being respectful to his elders.
 
Parents Teretha Wilson and Mcarthur Bryant are upset that their son was reprimanded and surprisingly they should be. The 10-year-old, Tamarion Wilson, was disciplined for calling his teacher ma’am, a sign of respect.

Its unlikely the teacher was white otherwise Al Sharptongue would have been on this like stink on poop.  The teacher was probably a liberal lunatic who wanted to be called something that didn't have a sexual connotation to it - like zizz or gizz instead of ms.  It doesn't matter, the kid was screwed.
