Levin: Don’t fall for the New York Times’ Rosenstein trap

......The story about Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein broke earlier in the day and claims that he discussed invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump. During a 2017 meeting, he also suggested wearing a wire to secretly record the president, according reporting by the New York Times.........

..........While some on the right were quick to call for Rosenstein’s pink slip, Levin says to not take the bait. “Why was this leaked? Why was this leaked now?” Levin asked.

The details of the story make it look like a strategic leak from someone in the Justice Department to the New York Times, he explained. It was leaked now, Levin suggested, to prompt President Trump to fire Rosenstein to “blow up the entire Kavanaugh hearings, to have Republicans running for the hills,” and to create chaos just ahead of the midterm elections.......

Levin may be right about this.  The New York Times didn't leak this for their health and I don't trust them for a minute.
Against stupidity, the Gods themselves contend in vain.

If he hasn't sacked Rosenswine by now, he won't until after the election.  Then "Wham!"

Provided that the GOP holds on to their majority.  Trump's second biggest mistake (after nominating him in the first place) was not firing him when he wanted to.

Whether he sacks Rosenswine or not isn't dependent on who holds Congress, but Sessions on the other hand....
